I was doing some more exploring on Spotify this morning and discovered a phenominal category called “words”. Under that heading there things like famous author readings, poetry, learning languages of all kinds, meditations and this wonderful fairy tail playlist that also includes an entire list of some of the most popular children stories in the world.
I played some of this and it is pretty awesome. The recording quality is clear with background music. I hope you and your child have some story time and maybe take the real book in real time and make the book come to life.
Let your child use their imagination. It’s good for them.
Your child will also build their vocabulary in confidence and reading and be eager to listen hopefully to other books in the future.
Reading and listening to a book being read helps them think and you can create a dialogue between the two of you that will never happen with a video game.
